I was sitting here, just reflecting on my daughter words. I have the pleasure of sitting down with her before her day begins. By the way she homeschools, she does an hybrid program, this has been an awesome journey. Nonetheless, I was sharing my concept about faith to her, this girl took me away. She shared a short story with me, her story, she used the concept of fear and love. Well, she broke down her fear of spiders, the way they make her feel and why she stray away from them. But, this is the awesome part, she shared with me the love she has for "Dolphins" she literally unfolded their personalities, characteristics and stature.
She stated;
Mom this is the difference. The spider releases fear in my heart, and this will discourage you and you will become depressed. But, when I think about the goodness and protection of dolphins, I feel secure, and I no longer think about the spiders. What if, I am not a perfect swimmer? the dolphins will come to my rescue and safely bring me to shore. He will invite me, and I will accept the offer. Not, knowing of my outcome, but believing, because of who he is. She shouted! they bring peace! That's what Jesus does, he takes the fear and place love in your heart. He take away the weakness and give you strength. Jesus gives you peace and hope. Her question was? Is this an example of "Faith"
I must say my dear, it certainly is.
There will be times when we are so overwhelmed and captivated by fear, but this is the ultimate key.....no matter what your going through, no matter what your experiencing, the power of love will give you hope and strength. Even if you don't see it, oh it's there. I am in awe!
